MTN Eswatini engages students on technology, data science and entrepreneurship

MTN Eswatini has engaged university students and aspiring technology professionals through a Customer Engagement Day focused on digital innovation, data science, entrepreneurship, and future career opportunities in the technology sector.

The event was held at the IDE LT, Kwaluseni Campus, and brought together students pursuing studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship.

During the session, MTN Eswatini representatives shared insights on how emerging technologies, data analytics, and innovation can be applied to address real-world challenges while creating opportunities for economic growth and social development.

The discussions were facilitated by Cebisa Hlatshwayo, Sihle Maseko, Bagcine Motsa, and Mangaliso Mhlanga, who highlighted the growing importance of digital skills in preparing young people for the evolving world of work.

Participants were also encouraged to explore entrepreneurial opportunities within the digital economy and to leverage technology as a tool for innovation and problem-solving.

The engagement provided students with an opportunity to interact directly with industry professionals, ask questions about emerging trends, and gain practical perspectives on career pathways in technology-related fields.

MTN Eswatini noted that initiatives of this nature are intended to support youth development and contribute to the growth of the country's digital ecosystem by fostering knowledge sharing and skills development.
