Morocco has launched its
second national awareness campaign on accessibility, aimed at promoting an
inclusive society and strengthening digital access for persons with
disabilities.
The campaign, held under the
theme “Changing the way we look at accessibility… For an inclusive society that
guarantees the rights of people with disabilities,” was launched in Rabat with
the participation of Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister of Digital Transition
and Administrative Reform.
The launch ceremony was
marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of
Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, the Ministry of Solidarity,
Social Integration and the Family, and the Secretary of State for Social
Integration.
The agreement seeks to
strengthen digital accessibility and support the development of a more
inclusive public administration by ensuring that digital services and platforms
are accessible to all citizens.
Speaking at the event,
Minister El Fallah Seghrouchni said digital accessibility is not only a
technical requirement but a fundamental condition for ensuring equal access to
public services and enabling citizens to fully exercise their rights.
She highlighted that
Morocco’s digital transformation agenda, including the Digital Morocco 2030
strategy and the “AI Made in Morocco” roadmap, is focused on ensuring that
technology and artificial intelligence serve the needs of all segments of
society.
The Minister said the
government is working to integrate accessibility standards into digital
platforms, support public administrations and promote inclusive innovation
through initiatives such as RamadanIA and RallyIA.
She
added that the partnership represents a new step in strengthening collective
efforts to build an administration that is more accessible, equitable and
citizen-centred
