Telecel Centrafrique and the Central African Energy Company (ENERCA) have launched a new digital payment service that allows customers to pay their electricity bills through the Telecel Money platform.

The initiative, officially unveiled at a ceremony attended by the management of both institutions and members of the media, is aimed at improving access to utility services and advancing the digitalisation of everyday transactions in the Central African Republic.

Under the new arrangement, ENERCA customers can now renew their subscriptions and settle electricity bills remotely using Telecel Money, eliminating the need for physical visits and long waiting times at payment centres.

Telecel Centrafrique said the service will provide customers with a faster, simpler, and more secure way to manage their electricity payments, with access available around the clock through mobile financial services.

The partnership between Telecel Centrafrique and ENERCA reflects ongoing efforts by key service providers in the country to leverage digital solutions to improve customer experience and promote financial inclusion.

Through Telecel Money, the telecommunications operator continues to expand the use of mobile payments across essential services, supporting the broader transition toward a more connected and digitally enabled economy in the Central African Republic.
