The Ghana AI
Summit & Awards 2027, the third edition of Ghana’s premier artificial
intelligence gathering, will take place from 30–31 March 2027 in Accra,
bringing together policymakers, business leaders, technology companies,
investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, development partners and
civil society to examine how artificial intelligence can translate into
real-world economic and social impact. The 2027 Summit will be held under the
theme: “THE INTELLIGENT FUTURE: People. Policy.
Profit. Progress.”An important component of the Summit will be the
African AI Roundtable, connecting Ghana with the wider African AI ecosystem.
The Ghana AI
Summit & Awards 2027 is designed as more than a conference. It is intended
to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, practical learning,
partnerships, investment, innovation and action. As AI continues to influence
business models, public services, employment, education and economic
competitiveness, the Summit will create space for stakeholders to consider a
fundamental question: How can Ghana move from AI awareness and experimentation
to responsible adoption that delivers measurable value?Under the theme “People.
Policy. Profit. Progress.”, the 2027 Summit will bring these conversations
together in one platform.
Organised by
Data Nyansa, Deloitte Ghana and partners, the Summit will explore four
interconnected dimensions of Ghana’s AI future: the people who will develop and
use AI, the policies that will shape its responsible adoption, the businesses
creating value from AI, and the innovation and progress needed to ensure that
the benefits of AI are broadly sharedAccording to Dr. Kwami Ahiabenu, the chair
of Ghana AI Summit 2026 : “In its third year, the Ghana AI Summit has grown
into an important and landmark event on Ghana’s technology and innovation
calendar. As Ghana prepares to celebrate 70 years of independence in March 2027,
we are proud that the Summit will form part of this important national moment.
Our ambition is not simply to discuss artificial intelligence, but to
contribute to building Ghana’s intelligent future.”
One-Day Practical Workshop
A key feature
of the 2027 Summit will be a dedicated one-day workshop on Day 1, providing
participants with an opportunity for deeper, practical engagement with
artificial intelligence. Rather than simply listening to presentations, the
workshop will provide a more focused learning and working environment for
participants to examine practical AI applications, develop relevant
capabilities and explore how AI can be integrated into organisations and
professional practice. The workshop is intended for professionals, executives,
entrepreneurs, policymakers, innovators and other participants seeking a more
hands-on engagement with AI.
Main Conference on Day 2
The main
conference will take place on Day 2, bringing together a wider cross-section of
Ghana’s and Africa’s AI ecosystem for keynote addresses, expert discussions,
panels, knowledge sharing and networking. The Summit will explore AI and
economic growth, AI innovation and entrepreneurship, the future of jobs and
workforce readiness, responsible and ethical AI, AI policy, governance and
regulation, AI for effective government and public services, AI in healthcare,
AI in agriculture and environmental sustainability, AI investment and business
transformation, and Africa’s role in the emerging global AI economy.
Recognising Ghana’s AI Innovators
The 2027
programme will also provide a platform to recognise organisations, leaders and
innovators contributing to Ghana’s emerging AI ecosystem through the Ghana AI
Awards 2027 and the National AI Challenge. The Summit will provide opportunities
for innovators and researchers to showcase their work, with selected research
contributions considered for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
The event
builds on the momentum of the previous Ghana AI Summits, which have brought
together innovators, policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry
leaders to examine the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial
intelligence in Ghana and across Africa.
