Absa Group has held discussions with Kenyan President Dr. William Ruto as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the government and the private sector in supporting economic growth, investment and enterprise development.

An Absa Group delegation led by Chief Executive for Corporate and Investment Banking, Zaid Moola, alongside Interim Managing Director and CEO of Absa Bank Kenya, Yusuf Omari, paid a courtesy call on President Ruto at State House, Nairobi.

The engagement focused on Kenya’s economic outlook, the evolving investment environment and the role of strategic partnerships in mobilising capital and supporting long-term economic transformation.

Absa said financial institutions have an important role beyond providing funding, including facilitating investment, supporting businesses and helping create an enabling environment for sustainable economic development.

The bank emphasised the importance of continued dialogue between policymakers and business leaders in strengthening investor confidence, expanding access to capital and supporting enterprises that contribute to economic growth.

The engagement forms part of Absa Group’s broader commitment to supporting Africa’s development through partnerships that promote innovation, investment and inclusive economic progress.

Absa reaffirmed its commitment to working with governments, businesses and other stakeholders to contribute to Kenya’s economic transformation agenda and Africa’s wider growth ambitions.
